About this watch

This is an absolutely sublime Omega Chronograph in stainless steel. The watch is reference 2279-3 and dates to circa 1940, with pristine calibre 27,chro C12 T2 P.C. which is the movement that would be renamed the famous cal 321 movement, the same movement fitted to the famous Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch.

The watch is in simply time warp condition, she really is a beauty, the case appears never to have been refinished, the dial is showing a really nice honey patina and is most importantly completely original, unlike so so many. It also has its original black/blued steel baton hands.

This is a much more elegant chronograph that so many of the more utilitarian Omegas produced after this period.

With vintage Omega Chronographs rising in value rapidly this is a sure fire investment and a great daily wear watch.

The watch comes fresh from a complete service and so performs with modern reliability and is covered by our 12 months guarantee and is also fitted to a NOS vintage Omega strap.
