This tremendous and extremely rare watch dates to approximately 1954 and is presented in rose gold cap with stunning original and unrestored honeycomb dial. This has to be one of the rarest Omega Seamasters we have ever listed on the site.
The 2494 Jumbo is a very rare watch, rare because of its size, being 36.5mm excluding the crown, which was considerably larger than other seamasters of the period. The watch is also very special as it is rose gold capped and has its original Chronometre marked seamsater ‘honeycomb’ dial, which has never been touched or restored and has taken on a gorgeous honey patina.
The watch is running a chronometre calibre 354 movement, which is fully overhauled and working as it should, like the rest of the watch it is in perfect condition and considering it is over 65 years old it can only be described as a piece as being in time warp condition.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a watch which you are highly unlikely to see for sale again in this remarkable condition and configuration.
