Produced only in 1984/1985 and reportedly only for the German market hence the nickname Teutonic ,I have to say I am a big fan of this Speedmaster model and I truly believe they represent possibly the best value in the current market. Not only visually appealing and at 42 mm large enough to have been made to compete with today's large watches but also technically superb .
Please bear in mind this watch uses the same automatic caliber 1045 movement and has the exact functions of the much revered Holy Grail Speedmaster and probably fewer of this model are actually still available and yet whilst you will easily have to pay around £15,000 for a grail this is available today at a fraction of that price.
These models were all produced with the integral satin steel bracelet again unique to this watch
This piece runs exactly as it should and all functions perform perfectly
I believe that at some point in its life during a service the hands and date wheel have been changed which in this case having an English date I actually think enhances this watch
If you are looking for a vintage Speedmaster with a difference and one I seriously doubt you will ever see anyone else wearing then stop now because I think if you are reading this you just found it
