Omega Speedmaster Straight Writing

Lets be clear about this its 2019 and the world has celebrated the 50th anniversary of the day a human stood on another world for the first time and that human wore an Omega speedmaster powered by a caliber 861 movement .Now whilst earlier Ed whites regularly sell for over £40,000 these days the actual watch worn when man landed on the moon is still priced  very modestly .

During that year Omega launched this model engraved on the case back with the first reference to NASA and the moon landings and that model was in production for a very short period when the wording on the back changed to what it was to remain for decades.

It is my belief that the sleeper in the world of Speedmasters is this  rare straight writing reference from the moon landings period

This watch is complete and intact, the B2 bezel is in excellent original condition, it has the original Type A3 24 tooth crown. The watch has the correct 316XXXXX million serial number.

Fitted to a period black sports corfam strap finished with a stainless steel Omega buckle
