About this watch
The Rolex Explorer was first seen in 1953 although the modern watch we know today may have been more suitable for the rigours the early watches endured.
The reference 214270 was introduced in 2010 and brought in some significant changes, most noticeably the case size increase to 39mm from 36mm but also the movement updated to the cal 3132 and the bracelet saw improvements.
The new 39mm size is more in keeping with modern tastes and has proved very popular and although designated sports watch the Explorer wears incredibly well and is considered by many to be the ideal everyday Rolex
The example is in super condition showing very little signs of wear and comes complete with Rolex box and card showing the watch was UK supplied in December 2010
