This is a lovely example of a 1972 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref 1500 made even more special by having the stunning oxblood vignette dial, the hour markers and hands are silver with white highlights to match the white lettering on the dial which in this instance are used to highlight the dial. The red vignette dial is also called a “degrade” dial because of the degrading colour tone where the red hue lightens as it nears the centre.
The 34 mm stainless steel is a classic and very desirable watch and never more so than with a highly prized vignette dial.
The Cal 1570 automatic movement is in equally good condition and runs perfectly having been recently serviced and is fully guaranteed for 12 months.
The watch comes fitted to the full-size Rolex steel oyster bracelet.
