About this watch
Only produced for a brief period this is an exceptionally hard to find Submariner in any condition, but this example will be one of the best available and a great addition to any collection and yet still a watch that can be worn daily.
This very early 5513 has all the following characteristics only found in this short production run of around 1 year
- Serial numbers in the 9 xx xxx. range
- Swiss-only dials: "SWISS" inscription at 6 o'clock,
- PCG (pointed crown guards)
- chapter ring dial: a circle connecting the minute markers
Add to all of the above the incredibly rare exclamation point at 6 O'Clock and you have a piece that would grace any collection.
This example has all serial numbers still clearly visible and has the inner case back stamped correctly for 1963
Under bright sunlight the original gloss radial dial shows very desirable crazing to the lacquer which adds to the uniqueness of the piece.
The cal 1520 movement is again correctly stamped and running exactly as it should
The 40mm stainless steel case is still fitted to the original stainless-steel Rolex rivet link bracelet ref 7206
