The Rolex 5513 Submariner needs very little introduction having been in constant production from 1963 until 1989 and although this is currently the longest production run of any Rolex it remains on the must have list of most collectors. At the top of any wish list for a serious collector would be a watch in great original condition with the correct and original boxes and papers.
I am delighted to have on offer today a truly fine example manufactured in 1973 as confirmed by the serial numbers engraved on the case and on the correct original papers although as is not uncommon the watch was retailed later in 1977 as confirmed by the date on the papers.
The stainless-steel case retains great definition and shows little signs of polishing however it is the original non serif dial that elevates this piece to a different level, The original lume has aged to a wonderful rich deep cream colour which is so highly prized ,It’s also great to see that the original bezel has faded to a wonderful dark almost metallic grey and the all important original pip is a perfect match for the lume on the hour markers.
The automatic movement was professionally serviced recently and so keeps perfect time and carries our 12-month guarantee
