I honestly believe that the Kermit is the Submariner that I look back at in a few years and wonder why I didn't keep a few as I think over time they will age in just the way that collectors will highly prize and prices will keep increasing .
Originally released in 2003 to mark the 50th anniversary of the launch of the first Rolex submariner, The Kermit took Rolex fans by surprise as the addition of the green bezel was a massive step away from what clients had been used to up to that point.
The green Bezel on the Kermit has since proved massively popular and as its aluminium rather than the later Cerachrom on the Hulk meaning it will continue to develop and age over time which will eventually lead to some unique looking pieces. Of course, the Kermit offered far more than just a new bezel it also introduced the Maxi dial to the submariner range.
The case remains the pre super case and is in the eyes of many fans the best proportioned case on the modern submariner range, comparisons are often drawn between the Hulk and the Kermit and seen together it’s easy to see the Hulk has the bulkier case.
