About this watch

This stunning automatic calibre 1045 Speedmaster Chronograph is one of the rarer executions of the 1970’s Omega Speedmaster chronograph’s, known as the TV dial (for the shape of the case) The watch is simply the best on the market with the exception of the new old stock example. The watch has been fully serviced and overhauled (at huge expense) by Swiss Time Services, the UK’s official vintage Omega restoration center.

The watch wears extremely well, the 39 mm case (excluding pushers) in in pristine condition and all of finishes are correct and perfect. The dial is stunning and compliments the watch extremely well .

The calibre 1045 is such a great movement (develop from Omega’s first automatic chronograph the 1040) that it remained in use (in different guises) until the late 1990’s. The eight hand chronograph is a work of art and the perfect combination of style and function, a true tool watch.

Speedmaster prices have rising rapidly over the last few years, in some cases (such as the early 321 chronographs ten fold). Omega made a range of Speedmaster models throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s, which included watches from the famous moonwatch to the limited edition Speedmaster 125 and from the Speedsonic to the LCD moonwatch.

This really is a great combination of wearable chronograph with all the modern features such as automatic winding, with all the style and design of a vintage period Omega, you wont see another one on anyones wrist.

A great investment piece that can be worn everyday and enjoyed but is sure to appreciate in value.
