This is a Royal Air Force pilot’s watch from the second world war. The watch was ordered by the RAF for pilots and navigators and one can only wonder at the action it must have seen!
The dial of this watch is signed LeCoultre, as are all the original Jaeger LeCoultre 6b/159 dials. Later options issued by the MOD actually signed the dial Jaeger Le Coultre. This dial has aged to a lovely creamy colour and shows some expected age spots which only add to the character of this piece
The 32 mm case is in fantastic condition showing very little signs of wear. Inside is the Jaeger LeCoultre calibre 470 movement which is extremely well made and performs as new
This great piece has been fully serviced by independent vintage watch specialist Simon Freese and is guaranteed until August 2019
