Watches of this condition are always highly prized among collectors however what makes this nice original unrestored condition Record WWW from circa 1944 is the dial which you will notice doesn’t carry the makers name as was the norm when fitted by the factory but not when the dial has been replaced by the British MOD as in this case The MOD used the makers stores numbers for identification.
It is very important to note that later dial repairs would then have carried the longer NATO ref numbers which appear more frequently
What adds even more to this piece is the fact that the lug engraving matches the case numbers most of these watches have backs swapped in the MOD stores so it is incredible to find a piece such as this
Obviously the piece is showing authentic wear marks and represents another superb piece of history and with a case size of 36 mm its great to wear now and sure to start a conversation
