If you are a fan of vintage Dive watches then Certina will be a name you know well and the DS 5801 113 from 1964 is one of the standout pieces ,manufactured at a time when explorers and divers all over the world were pushing boundaries of physical endurance they needed a time piece that could withstand these environments .The DS or double security line was introduced in 1958 and this model released specifically for divers in 1964 pressure tested to 200 meter's this wasn't a rich mans toy in fact the turtle logo on the case back was chosen to symbolize the indestructibility of these pieces.
This is a stunning example of the model and completely original ,the black dial has the original trade mark red cross hairs and applied indices .
The stainless steel case measures 37 mm although if you include the bezel which many do this increases to a significant 39 mm.
This particular example is made even more desirable by the fact that I have just received it back from Swiss Tec who have fully serviced this great piece and so it comes fully guaranteed for 12 months
Also fitted to a new old stock period tropic strap
