This stunning Longines conquest is in time warp condition, featuring what has to be one of the pretties dials we have seen on a vintage dress watch for quite some time. The watch dates to circa 1958 and wears large for the time at 35 mm without the crown.
The watch runs the highly regarded caliber 19 asd automatic date movement
This watch was produced at a time when Longines was on a par with Omega and Rolex for quality, the watch is really something to behold. These where intended as every bit the equal of the Omega Constellation and it doesn’t disappoint, the gold capped case is remarkable and the stainless steel waterproof screw back has an 18 K medallion in the middle which even now shows some of the protective green enamel covering in its centre
The watch was originally delivered to Portugal, hence the Portuguese stamp on the top right lug, it really is a true piece of history. This is a very attractive and substantial watch and would be be an ideally addition to someone’s collection or the perfect daily watch.
When you look at the condition of a piece like this and consider its 60 years old this really does represent astounding value .
I have fitted this excellent watch to a wonderful soft kid skin leather which works really well with it .
