A truly unique chronograph watch created and dedicated to the free diver Jaques Mayol who is pictured on the case back diving with a dolphin which as well as free diving was his other great passion, The watch was designed in part by Mayol to assist free divers and give absolutely the most uninterrupted view of the timing circles as you can imagine a matter of life and death in some instances.
The domed anti reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal helps aid visibility underwater as well. Using the fully automatic calibre 3601 chronograph movement with all functions working.
This great watch was launched in 2003 after his death in 2001, this example dates to 2005 and comes complete with the original box and Omega warranty cards .
With a stainless-steel case measuring 41.5 mm it’s got significant wrist presence.
