About this watch
Originally manufactured for Pan AM pilots, this very useful watch soon became the must have time piece for professional travellers, due to the ease of reading dual time zones.
This example ref 16713 from 1998 comes in great condition cosmetically and mechanically and also benefits from the full size oyster bracelet however what sets this superb watch apart from many others is the very scarce Swiss only dial which was only in production for a very brief period between 1998 and 1999 and as with many things in life it’s the small details such as this that make a great difference to the investment potential on pieces like this .
The 40 mm stainless steel case is crisp and has nice fat lugs not showing signs of being previously polished, The 18ct gold bezel has a Black insert to match the dial which is flawless.
The 18ct gold and stainless-steel oyster bracelet shows very little stretch.
The colour combination of Black dial and bezel insert combined with 18ct gold and steel is one of my personal favourites and this is a great wearable watch.
